Sailing in Greece has to be one of the best Greek holiday experiences! Why not combine a week in a villa with a week’s sailing in Greece (or vice versa) which will stop the kids from getting bored. Some people rent a villa in the Ionian and have a yacht at the same time (with or without a skipper) and go day sailing. Others with more experience take off on their yachts for a few days to explore other islands. Sail Ionian can arrange for you to learn to sail and is one of the very few “RYA” (Royal Yachting Association) training centres in Greece where you can learn to sail and end up with a formal qualification after a sailing holiday in the sun. Sailing Flotillas are also an option. The Ionian offers an abundance of picturesque and peaceful bays, (ideal for swimming and snorkelling) and small fishing harbours with waterside tavernas and shops where you can replenish your supplies. Exploring many different islands during one holiday make sailing in the Ionian a very attractive option indeed. click here to read more from The Greek House Blog on Sailing in the Ionian |
